Navigating This Changing World

Feeling a bit overwhelmed lately?

YOU ARE NOT ALONE

The chaotic stressors are plentiful and we are exposed to them on a daily basis.

The world has changed and we have had that major "shift" that we all have been talking about for years. It's here and it's not going away.

Getting caught up in the energy of others is tough not to do.

Be it the little annoyance that escalates into an issue or even the excitement of an accomplishment that we internalize and say why not me?

We are all tired and raw,

I would even say it's Pandemic PTSD.

So we have to be our own advocate and work through it the best we can in our own truth.

Reaction to a situation is one  thing we have control over and it is one thing we can change.
Take a breath or a beat before engaging in it.
Another is how we

Here are some tips on being gentle with your spirit and avoiding the emotional energy of others, along with some metaphysical and herbal approaches to finding balance:

Protecting Your Spirit

  • Boundaries: One of the most important ways to be gentle with your spirit is to set boundaries. This means learning to say no to things that drain your energy and taking time for yourself to recharge. Visualize a protective shield around yourself when needed.
  • Mindfulness: Practice mindfulness techniques like meditation or deep breathing to become more aware of your own thoughts and feelings and less susceptible to the emotions of others.
  • Compassion: Develop compassion for yourself and others. Recognize that everyone is on their own journey, and it's not your responsibility to fix everyone's problems.

Metaphysical Techniques

  • Grounding: Grounding exercises can help you feel more connected to the earth and less pulled by outside energy.Stand barefoot on grass or visualize roots growing down from your feet and anchoring you to the earth.
  • Smudging: Burning sage or other herbs is a common practice for clearing negative energy. You can smudge yourself, your home, or any space that feels heavy.
  • Crystals: Certain crystals are believed to promote calmness and emotional balance. Amethyst, rose quartz, and selenite are popular choices.

Herbal Remedies

  • Calming Herbs: Chamomile, lavender, and valerian root are all known for their calming properties. You can drink them as tea, take them in capsule form, or use them in aromatherapy.
  • Adaptogens: Adaptogens are herbs that help the body adapt to stress. Ashwagandha, rhodiola, and holy basil are some examples.

Additional Tips

  • Spend time in nature: Nature has a powerful grounding effect. Take a walk in the woods, sit by a stream, or simply gaze at the stars.
  • Practice gratitude: Focusing on the things you're grateful for can shift your perspective and boost your mood.
  • Do things you enjoy: Make time for activities that bring you joy and relaxation.

It's important to find what works best for you. Experiment with different techniques and see what helps you feel most centered and balanced. Remember, being gentle with your spirit is a journey, not a destination. There will be times when you feel drained, but by following these tips, you can learn to bounce back and find your inner peace.
